If you’ve been following us, you know we travel to Utah quite often, especially to Visit Bryce Canyon Country We absolutely love that part of Utah, as it’s incredibly beautiful and family friendly.

If you are looking for a great place to visit with your family this year, then you should definitely consider adding Bryce Country to your bucket list. To make your planing easier here are a few of our favorite places, to make your trip fun and enjoyable.

Two Day Family Friendly Itinerary to Bryce Country

Day 1:

Start your day with a gorgeous sunrise in Bryce Canyon. Our all time favorite spot for the most mesmerizing views is Sunset Viewpoint, yes, I know its called sunset but the views for sunrise are gorgeous nonetheless and its easily accessible and just a short walk from the parking lot.

Next you can take a hike through the park. If you’re short on time but still want to experience the beauty of Bryce Canyon National Park, then the Navajo Loop Trail is perfect. With its breathtaking hoodoos and unique rock formations, it’s a great choice for families. It named as one of the “Worlds best hike” and I agree with it, as the views along the way are truly breathtaking.

For breakst you can enjoy delisious food ad the hotel or check out one of our favorites – Wanderlust Cowgirl Coffee Cafe in Panguitch. They alway have the freshest most delicious baked goods and coffee there, and their outdoor seating is the cutest. You definitely don’t want to miss this place, but come early as they tend to sell out fast.

Morning adventure: Rent an ebike from Bryce Canyon EZ Riders and explore these 4 Popular Lookout Points at Bryce Canyon National Park: Sunset Point, Sunrise Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce View Point. There are many other lookout points to stop and enjoy the beautiful Bryce Canyon, but these four are my favorites.

For lunch head over to the Pizza Place and enjoy hand-tossed pizza with their famous homemade dough and breadsticks. You can also enjoy burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. There’s something for everyone in your family. Don’t forget about dessert – it’s absolutely delicious!

Afternoon adventure: Experience Soaring Southern Utah at Ruby’s Inn: a virtual reality motion ride. VR goggles and a fully operational motion simulator create the sights and sounds of Southern Utah as you fly above and through the landscape. You can also enjoy the beauty of the Bryce Canyon National Park area while horseback riding! Check out Ruby’s Inn – Premier Horseback Riding. They even have rides available for the smallest riders.

Take a leisurely stroll around Old Bryce Town, located across from Ruby’s Inn. There, you’ll find ice cream, the Canyon Rock Shop, and other unique stores.

For dinner, consider dining at Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill – a perfect blend of delicious BBQ dinner and live country music entertainment with the Bryce Canyon Wranglers. This was definitely a highlight of our trip. Both boys enjoyed the evening, and we were all dancing non-stop.

Lodging: We usually stay at Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn as it’s the closest hotel to the Bryce Canyon National Park.

DAY 2:

Enjoy the breakfast at the hotel. Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn has a delicious breakfast buffet, they had a wide variety of fruits, omelettes, meats, cheeses, etc.

Morning Adventures: drive to Mammoth Cave is, which is an amazing and unique lava tube located inside Dixie National Forest. It is great for kiddos, but I would recommend bringing a headlamp if you have one or a flashlight for better visibility, as this is a wild cave, and there is no outside light.

For Lunch you must try this local gem: Burger Barn near Panguitch, they have one of the best burgers.

Afternoon Adventures:
Stop at the Utah ATV Rentals and explore the area on one of their amazing ATVs. WE booked ours for 4 hours, and the kids had a blast riding around Panguitch lake and the surrounding area.

For dinner: Cowboy’s Smokehouse Cafe/Steakhouse they have a wide variety of food for everyone in your family .

Some other things to check out in the area:

Explore an amazing Mossy Cave and hidden waterfall near Bryce Canyon. Trail to uncover a hidden waterfall; it’s a refreshing and picturesque stop. This trail in fact is located about 15 min outside of the main Bryce Canyon National Park. The trail is very short, less then a mile, with a great payoffs in the end: a gorgeous waterfall, and Mossy Cave of course.

Devil’s Garden in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, nestled within the breathtaking landscapes of southern Utah in Bryce Canyon Country. This natural wonderland boasts a mesmerizing array of rock formations, from whimsical hoodoos to captivating arches.

In my opinion, Devil’s Garden is an absolute must-see, especially if you are traveling with smaller kids. It’s like one giant playground. There’s a picnic area and pit toilets available, making it a perfect spot for a family picnic. Our boys had a blast exploring and climbing on the sandstone formations. You can walk right up the slick rock onto most of the rocks and climb in and through a lot of the formations.

This area is surprisingly large, and there are no set trails, so you can just roam and explore around for as long as you’d like. We spent over two hours here, just walking and exploring around.

As you see Bryce Canyon is an amazing area to explore, with so much to do around.
