Before heading out, be sure to check current trail and weather conditions. Colorado’s mountain weather can change quickly, especially during afternoons and evenings when storms often develop. Bring plenty of water, wear appropriate gear, and hike within your comfort level.

As always, practice Leave No Trace principles. Stay on designated trails, pack out all trash, and clean up after your dog. Most importantly, don’t leave dog waste bags along the trail, carry them out to help keep our public lands beautiful for everyone.
