Pine Valley Ranch Park

Pine Valley Ranch Park, located in Pine, CO, about an hour away from Denver offers a wide variety of hiking trails with a beautiful lake.

We hiked Park View Lake Loop.

  • Distance: about 3mi trail loop
  • Elevation Gain: 600ft
  • Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Start your hike at the Park View Trail to the lookout and then continue on to the Strawberry Jack Trail and to the Buck Gulch Trail that will take you back to the lake and the parking lot.

For better orientation grab a map at the trailhead to take with you, as there is no internet on the trail.

The views from the top of the trail are fantastic. We didn’t run into to many people on this trail, but there were many people fishing around the lake.

Since this is very popular area for biking/hiking/horseback riding/fishing/picnics,  I would suggest visiting early on a weekend or on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

There are also several  picnic tables  and outdoor grills right next to the water.

Happy Hiking and Have Fun!!!
